VR/AR has gradually become independent

The concept of “meta-universe” has attracted widespread attention in many fields, and it seems that it will also change our way of life in the future.

The term “meta-universe” originated from a science fiction novel in the 1990s. According to calculations, the global VR/AR market is close to 100 billion RMB(16.13 billion dollars), and content applications have become the primary growth point. It is expected to reach nearly 500 billion RMB(8.06 billion dollars)in 2024.

IDC data shows that VR/AR sales are expected to exceed 76 million units in 2024, of which 35 million AR devices will account for 55%. During the five years 2020–2024, the growth rate of VR/AR is about to 86%, of which the growth rates of VR and AR are 56% and 188% respectively. It is said that AR volume in 2023 will surpass VR. As far as we know, AR is very attractive to mass users and is more useful.

With the gradual construction of metaverse, this concept will become a reality in acceleration, especially as China’s VR/AR ecosystem is developing from the early stage of solving specific problems to a fully functional ecosystem that can benefit all industries.
